I am a senior technician with Indesit company. I have over fifteen years experience helping customers with their dishwashers. At Indesit Company we design and manufacture our appliances to provide many trouble free years of service to our customers, but there also a few things you can do yourself to help ensure your appliance operates to its full potential or to help resolve any common user issues.

This film covers how to deal with cleaning your dishwasher spray arms.

How you will know there’s a problem: poor wash results. This issue is usually caused by blocked spray arms.

What you will need to rectify the issue: this is a simple procedure and you won’t need any special tools.

To remove the spray arms, firstly open the dishwasher door, remove the lower basket and place to one side safely. For the lower spray arm squeeze the two tabs either side of the spray arm and then pull the lower spray arm clear. For the upper spray arm pull the dishwasher top basket forwards, rotate locking nut clockwise which releases top spray and drop down clear of the basket. Once the dishwasher spray arm is removed from the dishwasher you need to check the spray holes for any blockages. To clean, immerse in warm soapy water and give the spray arm a gentle shake to remove any blockages. To check these jets are completely clear, pour some water down the centre of the spray arm, the water should flow out of the spray arms.

To relocate the top spray arm, push the spray arm up and rotate the locking nut anti-clockwise this time until it’s locked into position, and give the spray arm a quick spin to make sure it turns freely. For the lower spray arm push the spray arm into position and click down until it locks. Give the lower spray arm a quick turn to make sure it turns freely. Once the spray arms are back in position, replace the lower basket.

If you’re still experiencing problems please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section on our web site. Some dishwasher components like cutlery baskets can become worn over time – these and other spares are available on our website as well as care products for a range of kitchen appliances.

Recap: Remove upper and lower baskets, remove spray arms, check for food residue and clean.

Hello my name’s Alan.

This video covers how to clean your dishwasher filter.

How you will know there is a problem: poor wash results, food residue still present and sandy deposits at the end of the cycle. This issue is usually caused by a blocked filter.

To clean the dishwasher filter, firstly open the dishwasher door and remove the lower basket and place it to one side safely. Rotate the centre filter anticlockwise and lift out. You can then remove the mesh filter afterwards. There is also a central filter within the cylindrical which needs two tabs pushing and lift clear.

Once the filter has been removed, please check the sump for any larger food deposits that may have fallen down into the sump area. To clean the filter of the dishwasher, first remove any larger food deposits from the filter by shaking it into the dust bin. Then, wash both filters in warm soapy water and if there is any fat residue on any other filters, use boiling water and pour across the filter itself to remove fat residue.

Once cleaned, replace it back into the dishwasher. Once the dishwasher filters are cleaned, place them in reverse. Slide the stainless steel mesh filters first, and then locate the central filter, rotate it clockwise until it locks into position. If you’re still experiencing problems, please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section of our website. Remember, spares can also be obtained from our website as well as care products for a range of kitchen appliances.

Recap: Remove basket. Lift out filters. Check sump. Separate and rinse filters. Replace back into appliance.

At Indesit Company we design and manufacture our appliances to provide many trouble free years of service to our customers, but there also a few things you can do yourself to help ensure your appliance operates to its full potential or to help resolve any common user issues. This film covers how to deal with your washing machine not filling.

How you will know there is a problem: Machine may stick in program, particularly during rinse and you may be aware of a filling and emptying at the same time. If you are installing the appliance under the sink to the spigot, please ensure that any blanking plates are removed.

What to do: Step one. Check to see how the machine waste hose is connected. Step two. If it’s the stand part connection, check to see how far the drain hose is pushed down the stand pipe. Please refer to the user handbook for recommended depths. Step three – Under sink connections. Please check that the drain hose is fixed as high up underneath the work-top as possible. If you’re still experiencing problems please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section of our website. Remember spares can also be obtained from our website as well as care products for a range of kitchen appliances.

Recap: Check to see how the waste hose is connected. If it’s a stand pipe connection, ensure that the drain hose is not pushed too far down. If it is an under sink connection, then please check that the drain hose is as fixed as high up underneath the work-top as possible.

Video transcript:

Hello my name’s Alan.

I am a senior technician with Indesit company. I have over fifteen years experience helping customers with their tumble dryers. At Indesit Company we design and manufacture our appliances to provide many trouble free years of service to our customers, but there also a few things you can do yourself to help ensure your appliance operates to its full potential or to help resolve any common user issues.

This film covers how to deal with adjusting your appliance feet. Many feet look and adjust in a similar way.

How you will know there’s a problem: it varies from appliance to appliance – A dishwasher door may not open or close correctly, a fridge freezer will be unstable, and an oven may move when the door is opened. In this example for a washing machine you can clearly see your appliance is not level. To gain access to the appliance feet, firstly, remove the plinth. Then adjust the feet until the appliance is steady. You can now clearly see the washing machine is stable. If you’re still experiencing problems, please refer to your user handbook which can also be downloaded from the user handbook section on our website. Remember, spares are also available from our website as our care products for a range of kitchen appliances.

Recap: Adjust the feet of your appliance until it is steady.
